Chenyee has over 400 employees in 50 countries in Africa, Europe, North America, South America, and South Asia. Since 2010, Shenzhen Chenyee Technology functioned as the Overseas Business Unit of some well-known global mobile phone manufacturers[1]. In 2017, the company launched its own smartphone brand, Soda Mobile. Soda says its goal is to marry premium technology with affordability and seeks to create cost-effective high-quality and easy-going premium mobile products for tech-savvy young people.

Soda Mobile Products

Soda Mobile products include smartphones and accessories like power banks, audio headsets, and USB cables and chargers. The brand has released 4 smartphones as at February 2019. The current line-up of Soda phones includes devices like Soda Fire, Soda E1, Soda S1, and Soda S2. Soda phones run Android OS and are customized with an in-house developed user interface called Passion UI.

Soda Mobile Territories

As of February 2019, Soda Mobile is known to be active in two countries, Egypt and Nigeria. The brand launched silently in Nigeria in 2018 with the Soda Fire, a phone that made our list of the best budget 4G smartphones to buy in 2018. We do not have a review of the Soda Fire phone, but Don Caprio’s review is a good one you should see if interested in the phone. You can read it HERE. Local support for Soda phones is provided via Raya Care, a service centre present in both Nigeria and Egypt. Raya is also authorized service centre for Nokia phones, among others. Update: In the first quarter of 2019, the company’s website became unreachable and Soda phones and accessories all but disappeared in the market. An abrupt and sad ending to what looked like a promising brand.
